Blog 2. Pitching A Boy's Life

A Boy's Life is a story that has a lot of things going for it. It's a fantasy about a friendship, with a four-fingered alien and a lonely boy. It's a comedy about all the crazy things they get themselves into. It's an action movie that shows the troubles they confront when the government tries to get a hold of E.T. It crosses genres and thus makes it relatable to a variety of audiences. This is a key idea to hit upon when pitching this movie. Knowing that the movie will relate to many different audiences, it adds to the appeal. Kids will want to see this movie because they find things like aliens interesting, and this will in turn attract parents to the movie, which will like this movie for its heartwarming story.
Another aspect to consider when pitching A Boy's Life is to consider the amount of money that can be made through ancillaries. E.T. is an interesting character that can be enjoyed through the form of toys or towels and maybe even a television spinoff. These are all things to consider when pitching the worth and the story like A Boy's Life.
