A Boy's Life would be a hard movie to pitch. It would have to be a well put together package from front to back, I believe that's how it was done. I would tell them the basic concept of a boy that meets an alien that is left behind and must find it's way home all while being confronted with the obvious problems associated with such an undertaking; law enforcement, parents, neighbors, friends and family. It would be very difficult to get people to just go along with the pitch so easily, that's why it would have to be a package. Having Stephen Spielberg as the director wouldn't hurt at all, having someone with a lot of credibility would definitely help the process go forward. I would tell the producer I'm pitching the movie to that it would be a movie for all ages and I would try to downplay the budget as much as possible, I wouldn't want to tell them about the huge blockbuster budget that goes along with such a film. It all comes down to credentials.

1. Do you think you could have successfully pitched the movie.
2. Do you think the movie would have been as good under a different writer/director team?
