How do the authors use visual language to evoke a film in your mind?

I think that the authors use POV as a tool to evoke fluid visual images in my mind while reading. Especially when revealing Book through Samuel's vision. The authors utilizes Samuel's POV extensively throughout the opening scenes of the film and that helps the reader visualize through their own eyes how film will play out on screen. the way they write camera movements into the language of the script keeps the visual flair, allowing the reader to actually picture this as it unfolds.

1) Can this film be made in the studio system today and compete with increasingly effects heavy films?

2) When writing a script with another person or persons, what should the dynamic be? Should it be an equal partnership or should one person take the reigns, or should the script be divided allowing each person to work independently of the others?
