A Boy’s Life is a film for all the ages, a story of a friendship unlike any other. Midst the ancient redwood forest of California alien explorers forget one of their own behind. He is E.T he is lost on earth and alone and he will soon meet his human counterpart 10 yr old Elliot, a boy with a generous heart and no friends. Without his mother’s knowledge Elliot lures his new friend home, and the two embark on a journey that defies humanly conventions. E.T must return home, no one must find out, not his mom and especially not the government. Elliot and E.T have a lot to learn from each other and the two form a special bond. At the same time a weathered E.T falls ill, young Elliot’s health also deteriorates, and it is a race against time to get his intergalactic best friend home.
Question response:
2.) When pitching E.T., would you give a detailed synopsis of the film, or leave it more up to the listeners mind? By Georginia Hurge
Georginia love, as Voltaire once wrote “ a bore tells it all”
I imagine highlighting the key themes and conflicts and saving details would be best. If it’s an interesting story people will want to know more, than you can fill them in the juicy details.
Questions:
1) Would people be able to relate to aliens even though we can’t understand each other?
2) Do you think the reeses pieces got E.T sick?
