While reading this script I found myself having flashbacks to The Secret Of My Success with Michael J Fox. It was a very easy read, it felt more like reading a book, this may be partly due to the fact that it was not a shooting script as A Boys Life was. I enjoyed it and am now going to hunt down a copy of the movie to watch. I found the story a little contrived, however not being around to experience working for a large company in the era this story takes place, it's hard to imagine not having an HR department breathing down everyone’s neck. I also found the story very predictable, however in some instances knowing what's going to happen isn't detrimental to enjoying the story. The parallels between Bud's situation and Fran's both moved along at the same speed so, of course everything worked out in the end. While this usually is not how things turn out most of the time, it makes for a good movie, since from the beginning you're looking for these two to get together.
Discussion Questions:
- Does being able to predict where a story is heading take away from your enjoyment, or does it add to your enjoyment now watching to see if you were right?
- I found a number of spelling errors and typo's in the script, while it wasn't horrible and I knew what was meant, I did have to reread a few lines to make sure I got it right, when reading a script professionally, would that turn you away?

The entire time reading the script it was really annoying seeing all of the spelling errors. Finally word decided to not even show them all even though I still picked up on many of them. If I were professionally reading this script, I would probably send it back for a rewrite.
