Even though the graphic as the script was, it did become a little distracting at times because it seemed like Anderson was shoving down everyone's throat. But eventually I realized that it was a script and that I had to look past that. It's a big film world out there and it will only get worse over time. Once I got over that, the script became easier to read. At times it did feel very reality TV like and very exaggerated, which I can only assume is what Anderson was going for. The characters were very typical and cliched which also made it seem exaggerated.
I am a sucker for cliche films because I am that film student that thought Mean Girls was genius. So as a whole, the script was pretty decent. Everything flowed together and made sense which is always really nice to have in a film.
Discussion Q's:
1. What would the film be like if the graphic content was taken down? Would it be as interesting?
2. How would this film be different if it were actually made in the 1970s? Would it be as a big a hit as it is now?

I don't think the movie would have been nearly as successful if it was actually made in the 70s simply because what takes place in the movie, or similar things, were taking place then, so people didn't need to go see a movie about them. The movie is about the porn industry in the 1970s, so it doesn't make as much sense for it to be filmed in the 1970s.
