I've learned a lot about making and analyzing scripts in class. Before I came to class I didn't really think that the script was important as it is, but now I know that it's the most important thing in the film making process. I really benefited from the McKee breakdown most of all; it's really an easy way to break down a movie script. Now when I look at a movie I will pay attention to mysterious lines, and the elevation of conflict and to see what the premise of a story is. I'm glad I learned a lot about scripts but not so much that I can't simply enjoy a movie. I think if I dove too much into script analysis I would have a hard time focusing on an overall movie and would be taking a film apart rather than watching for entertainment purposes. Another thing I learned in the class is how difficult it is to make a decent script and how difficult it is to have a script made into a film, let a lone a decent film.

2. What script would you substitute for another script?
