Final Blog #8

I found this Script Analysis class to be a tremendously useful course to take. I feel that Script Analysis in general is beneficial for anyone seeking a higher education in the film industry, or possibly just looking to deepen their knowledge of filming techniques, scripts, and all things associated with film production and creation. I learned a lot about scripts and story writing that I did not know before this class. I feel that I understand stories and scripts to such a greater degree now. I critique movies in a whole new way and I can provide valuable insights to peers about different techniques used in screen writing, as well as film making. Although I am a Digital Media student, not a Cinema Studies/Film major, I did find the class incredibly interesting and insightful. I love movies just as much as the next guy and learning about them on the "beneath the surface" level was really interesting and, in fact, entertaining to learn about. I hope to read more screenplays and to judge movies on a deeper and more informed level from here on out.
