Script Analysis was an adventure, to say the least. I've read many scripts before, but this class has forever changed the way I look at a screenplay. Things like scene breakdown, "the big fat fact," "mysterious lines" and so on have completely altered the way I perceive the characters and events unfolding on the page.
There were only a few hiccups along the way of this long journey. As others have mentioned (several times) before, Sternberg is a difficult read. She would often veer and talk and talk instead of just telling me what is important. Not only that, but the tiny nuggets of information was delivered to the reader in such a dry manner that I would honestly just stop caring. This however, is but a small problem (luckily the Sternberg readings ended about mid-semester, or else I would crawl to the fetal position and cry every week I had to read it) that did not hamper the class overall.
Everything else the class had to offer, the many scripts from various different authors, the readings of Weston and McKee, the directing exercises, even the final project, have all been not only an educational experience, but also an entertaining experience (I'm a movie nerd, so reading the script for Adaptation was a real treat for me). I'm very glad I took the class.

Discussion Questions:
1) Sternberg is lame. Agree or disagree? Why?
2) Is there any other script you believe should be analyzed for this class? Maybe Predator, starring Arnie....
