I liked Script Analysis (for the most part) . Even though the readings at the start of the semester took a lot of time and (in Sternberg's case) effort to get through, I felt like I got a lot of useful information from McKee and Weston.

Reading all those scripts helped out a lot too. I could see the vast differences in style between the different authors.

But the most important lesson I think I learned was this: Being a script writer is a miserable existence. It is unrelenting, long, and unrewarding. Despite this, people seem to want to do it anyways. They are all insane.

I am only interested in the post-production aspect of film (editing and whatnot) so this realization didn't really hurt me at all. I had a lot of fun in class and I learned quite a lot. All in all I'm glad I took it...even if Sternberg made me want to kill myself at times. Stupid windbag had some good points but it took her about 40 words to say what could be said in 4.
