This class has been pretty awesome. At first, I wasn't to enthusiactic about all the reading and writing and blah blah blah. I've read screenplays before, but the variety of screenplays we read in class was an eye opener. If their is one thing i would have changed, it would have been to read older screenplays, and compare them to brand new ones. To show the difference. One thing i liked in particular were the classes in which we broke down the scenes and acted them out. Camera movements, shot list, how to read a line, etc. It gave us an idea about how things went down when the director and dp and such were collaborating to determine which worked best.As far as text goes, Judith weston is a keeper. Sternberg however, is probably the most beneficial. I myself can't really remember what was said in the book. But i know it was important. Thats my own fault for not reading more closely into it.overall.... GOOD>

DQ
1. Is sternberg good to read?

2. Would mimicking some of the older writers hurt us when selling a screenplay in todays time?
