Script Analysis was definitely a lot of help. The benefit? everything that there was to offer. Script Analysis is a vast subject in itself. But the benefit that I took from the semester is now the ability to critically analyze a script and break down its components to have a better understanding of the writers intentions. I also acquired from this class the knowledge and resources to assemble a story and script following McKee, Weston, and Sternberg's instruction. My reading will not stop there though; reading the assigned materials have given me new light to read more books on my craft so that one day it may be seen by many. The way that I watch movie now has changed a bit. I now simultaneously absorb the story being told for the first time along with an analytical eye of breaking down the elements in there respective parts. This new way of watching movies amazes me as I did not think it was possible to do such a thing.
