Besides the interestingly provocative plot and its unique aspects, Boogie Nights was an enjoyable script to read. It had great but minimal description, some necessary direction and good dialogue. What I regarded most pleasing what the way in which each scene was written. I liked the way that every scene began with a simple descriptive setup of the proceedings and location. It left me to imagine the action taking place in my own way. The simple directions included were minimal and precise which aided in the depiction of the event but didn’t override my imagination. This script was immensely entertaining; however it was incredibly lewd and left me feeling especially sympathetic for Little Bill and his marital status.
Discussion Questions:
1) If there is one single, or many, aspects that you could change about Boogie Nights, what would it/they be?
2) Based upon the script format and obviously the content, do you think you could direct this movie?

Oh, man, good question. Honestly, I think I would need to mature a little more (even at 25) before I would be able to direct such a movie. I would probably giggle uncontrollably and they would have to kick me off the set. However, maybe I am underestimating myself, because it would be fascinating to direct such a script.
